Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers Needed

  • During our pledge drives, you can meet other people who love public radio as much as you do! During each shift, we need phone answerers who can enter the callers pledges in a computer. Shifts are 2-3 hours long, and are available at all hours of the day during the drive. If you are interested in coming to the station during pledge week to answer phones, click here.

  • WUIS sponsors special events throughout the year, and you can help out! We sponsor booths at various musical venues and it’s a great time to hear some live music and spread the word about the great music on WUIS. If you’re interested in helping out at a special event, please contact WUIS at volunteer@wuis.org.

  • Reception Volunteers WUIS is looking for volunteer receptionists. A commitment of as little as 4.5 hours weekly. Duties include: front desk reception consisting of routing phone calls and greeting guests, clerical assistance as needed (stuffing envelopes, etc.), assistance with fund drives, events and special projects.

Email your interest with a resume and indicate the day(s) and shifts you are available to volunteer: mornings:  8:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. or afternoons:  12:30 - 5 p.m.
