During the summer months, the pundits at State Week in Review take some time off. For 13 weeks Illinois Edition takes over with shows focusing on a variety of topics related to politics, the arts and history in Illinois.

The programs are produced by WUIS staff and other Illinois Public Radio reporters. Listeners can expect to hear about a variety of topics from a variety of viewpoints.

Episodes of the program have won several awards in the Best Documentary category in Illinois Associated Press Broadcasters Association competition in recent years.

Illinois Edition is broadcast at 6:30 p.m. each Friday and at 6:30 a.m. each Saturday July through September. It also airs on a number of other public radio stations in Illinois.
