Kavitha Cardoza is WUIS’s Springfield Bureau Chief in the news department. Cardoza received a masters degree in Broadcast Journalism at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Julie Perino

Julie Perino:

Julie Perino is working on a masters degree in English at the University of Illinois at Springfield. Perino does research, arranges interview and updates the sebsite for the Skirting Convention series.

Jori Lewis

Jori Lewis:

Jori Lewis was an intern at WUIS in 2004 when she began researching the women to be interviewed in the Skirting Convention series. Lewis has a masters degree in journalism from the University of California, Berkley. Lewis currently works on the Metcalf environmental reporting fellowship at The World at, a co-production of the BBC World Service, PRI and WGBH Boston.
