Edward Russo:

Edward J. Russo was Springfield’s first city historian and was curator of the Sangamon Valley Collection at Lincoln Library. Architectural historian and author, Russo sits on the city’s Historic Sites Commission and is involved with other historical groups. Russo was invaluable in helping WUIS determine the twelve women to interview in the Skirting Convention series.

Cullom Davis:

Cullom Davis, professor emeritus at the University of Illinois at Springfield and former director of the Lincoln Legal Papers Project and is an oral history expert. Davis’s experience and connections in the community were instrumental in helping WUIS to narrow down the names of women chosen for the Skirting Convention series.
